Quotable Thursday

Today’s quote comes from Marcus Aurelius. He was, in my opinion, a rather brilliant man. He lived in ancient Rome. Marcus Aurelius was an Emperor, a consul of the senate (3 times), a military leader, and a philosopher. He is considered the last of the 5 Good Emperors. He also was a devoted husband to his wife Faustina and the father of many children (the most famous being his daughter Lucilla and son Commodus). Marcus Aurelius was a Stoic and is remembered for his writings.

When you arise in the morning think what a privilege it is to be alive: to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
